HAPPY NEW YEAR , WELCOME 2014 !!

well, here it is still 2013 and im thinking, i want to blog again..
mainly to just keep a written history of the events i have happen in my life.

i have 45 minutes till 2014 rolls itself into my life, and i wont go into too much about 2013, other than to say it has had its positives and negatives, but over all, i grew a little inside.

and for THAT i am eternally thankful!

i have SO MANY projects im working on as well, i wanted to kinda have them all together in one place, as well as the independant blogs i have for them, to show them all off as im doing them, or have completed them.

so, new years came in fairly quietly, unusual, because it usually has fireworks for a ong time, one of my dogs gets all wound up and flustered, has anxiety over the sounds, but shes getting older now, and didnt move when they went off (i guess we have to be thankful for old dogs going deaf, lol) she wasnt even phased, and normally we spend hours calming her down from these events.

woke up to a day i know will be filled with taks to do and accomplish, new yrear, i want to make some good habits.

i started off with making sure that one of the groups i co-run was updated as to whom won the cover contest we had going.
i make the cover and a special image the individual can have and keep and share where they want to, on a forum signiture, on an email, as a profile pic, anywhere, and this year i also included the option to allow for the individual to keep the cover i make as well..
so heres the winners cover and the custom image i made for her.

the group had a name change over night as well, the ORIGINAL owner, wanted the name changed as the group had a part of her doll name in it, and to make her happy, i swapped that over to a vote and the votes showed the new name : Lil Nightmare On Dolly Street to be the winner, so that was swapped over  last night.

and the new cover, reflects the new year as well as the new name.

along the lines of this group, i am still starting up my own doll business, i have 3 pages on Facebook devoed to just those.

plus i also have a crochet, or better phrased a CRAFT page i also have to keep updated.

www.facebook.com/AwesomeProducts

i right now, make allot of croshet things, and show them off on that page, beanies, ties (yes, ties), blankets, baby clothes..
im trying to expand my talents, to share with the world, and maybe make me a little cash flow along the way.
cant hurt.

one of the things i do every holiday i can remember..lol is i change my cover on Facebook, and my profile pic to reflect that holiday, so, todays new years, and i needed to change my cover from the new years eve one and my profile pic as well (as it was in reference to new years eve)

so i uploaded these 2 as my cover and my profile image, HAPPY NEW YEAR

i like the quote on my cover by Thomas S. Monson (leader AND prophet for my church, i happen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or Mormons)

his quote reads: At the advent of a new year, I challenge Latter-day Saints everywhere to undertake a personal, diligent, significant quest for what I call the abundant life—a life filled with an abundance of success, goodness, and blessings. May we remember these [things] as we begin our journey into the new year, cultivating a positive attitude, a belief that we can achieve our goals and resolutions, and the courage to face whatever challenges may come our way. Then the abundant life will be ours.

now this is the talk it came from, that has allot more depth to it, and good things to say, and remember:

Living the Abundant Life

Thomas S. Monson

Living the Abundant Life

At the advent of a new year, I challenge Latter-day Saints everywhere to undertake a personal, diligent, significant quest for what I call the abundant life—a life filled with an abundance of success, goodness, and blessings. Just as we learned the ABCs in school, I offer my own ABCs to help us all gain the abundant life.

Have a Positive Attitude

A in my ABCs refers to attitude. William James, a pioneering American psychologist and philosopher, wrote, “The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.”1
So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment.
Charles Swindoll—author, educator, and Christian pastor—said: “Attitude, to me, is more important than … the past, … than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.”2
We can’t direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails. For maximum happiness, peace, and contentment, may we choose a positive attitude.

Believe in Yourself

B is for believe—in yourself, in those around you, and in eternal principles.
Be honest with yourself, with others, and with your Heavenly Father. One who was not honest with God until it was too late was Cardinal Wolsey who, according to Shakespeare, spent a long life in service to three sovereigns and enjoyed wealth and power. Finally, he was shorn of his power and possessions by an impatient king. Cardinal Wolsey cried:
Had I but served my God with half the zeal
I served my king, He would not in mine age
Have left me naked to mine enemies.3
Thomas Fuller, an English churchman and historian who lived in the 17th century, penned this truth: “He does not believe that does not live according to his belief.”4
Don’t limit yourself and don’t let others convince you that you are limited in what you can do. Believe in yourself and then live so as to reach your possibilities.
You can achieve what you believe you can. Trust and believe and have faith.

Face Challenges with Courage

C is for courage. Courage becomes a worthwhile and meaningful virtue when it is regarded not so much as a willingness to die manfully but as a determination to live decently.
Said the American essayist and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide on, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.”5
There will be times when you will be frightened and discouraged. You may feel that you are defeated. The odds of obtaining victory may appear overwhelming. At times you may feel like David trying to fight Goliath. But remember—David did win!
Courage is required to make an initial thrust toward one’s coveted goal, but even greater courage is called for when one stumbles and must make a second effort to achieve.
Have the determination to make the effort, the single-mindedness to work toward a worthy goal, and the courage not only to face the challenges that inevitably come but also to make a second effort, should such be required. “Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’”6
May we remember these ABCs as we begin our journey into the new year, cultivating a positive attitude, a belief that we can achieve our goals and resolutions, and the courage to face whatever challenges may come our way. Then the abundant life will be ours.

Teaching from This Message

Consider inviting family members to share personal experiences when a positive attitude, belief in themselves, or courage helped them. Or invite them to find examples of these three principles in the scriptures. You might prepare to teach by prayerfully thinking of scriptures or experiences of your own.

Courage to Weather the Storm

On the second night of my stake’s Young Women camp, we had a big rainstorm and tornado. My ward had about 24 young women attending the camp with two leaders, and we all had to fit into one small cabin for protection. The rain was falling hard, and the wind was getting worse. I had to continually remind myself of the prayer for safety our stake president had offered earlier. Our ward also said our own group prayer in our cabin, and I said my own personal prayers.
A lot of girls were scared, and it was easy to see why. Our cabin was not very sturdy, and we were right by a river. In about 20 minutes the storm got so bad that the whole stake had to run from their ward cabins to the counselors’ cabins, which were on higher ground. My stake president said another prayer, and we sang hymns, Primary songs, and camp songs in an attempt to comfort ourselves. Yes, we were scared, but we felt that everything would be all right. Half an hour later it was OK to go back to our ward cabins.
We later found out what had happened to the tornado that night. It had split into two storms. One of them went around us to the right and the other to the left. What we got wasn’t even the worst of it!
I know that God heard our prayers that night and that He protected us from the worst of the storm. Why would a tornado split unless God needed it to? I know that in the storms of life, we can always pray to Heavenly Father and He will hear and answer us, giving us the courage and protection we need to make it safely through.

Captain Moroni

Captain Moroni had courage as he faced challenges. He loved truth, liberty, and faith. He devoted his life to helping the Nephites preserve their freedom. You can be like Captain Moroni by facing your challenges with courage. You can even make your own title of liberty by writing on the flag below or on a separate piece of paper the things that are important to you and your family.

excellent talk on how to improve your life, it takes courage to change an attitude towards a better understanding and livlihood.
not easy for everyone. but it IS possible, you just have to want it bad enough, and struggle through it to get to the other side. its completely doable, i know, ive been on both shores.

lunchtime rolled around, and we went out to eat at STEAK AND SHAKE.
because its the 1st i donned a hat, ive been wearing some kinda hat since thanksgiving, to celebrate as the holidays all rolled by, and today is NEW YEARS, so i wore my sparkly hat.

craig now, as a standard always gets the ROYAL< i advised because the WISCONSIN BUTTERY BURGER was so fatty, he might, on occassion, want to switch it up, and they had this one, its no less greasy, but he likes it, as a side noter story, he initially didnt think hed dif this burger, as it has an egg on it, i told him the story of when my best freind and i went to a place in columbia SC they were serving something like this called: The Cyclops, and we thought it was the craziest thing ever put together.
but, because im an adventurer, i decided to try it,and..i love the thing, so i told him the sotry, told him to see..if he didnt like the egg, nothing wasted, id eat it, and hed know to never get that burger ever again.
well, its what he ALWAYS gets now, lol

daniel wasnt with us, hes been staying up all night playing his call of duty Ghosts video game, hitting the bed around 9am, or so, and wakes back up about 5pm or so..so, he wasnt with us when we went out this afternoon, but..he and i always get out freis seasoned, with, parmsean and garlic. and we add, hot pepper juice to ours. just wanted to add the pic, just because, lol

my meal now, is the 3-way chili, with EXTRA chili. its on the 4 dollar menu, and the adde chili makes it a 5.00 dinner, and its enough, actually more than i really need! lol but i love it.
some ppl would call the way this is served as: Cincinnati chili, chili over spaghetti noodles. i love chili, anyway it comes, im a complete fan! cant go wrong with chili!
and, because the kid wasnt with us..we indulged ourselves in, CHILI CHEESE FRIES!! had to take most of this home...lol
craig NEVER smiles for pics, drives me nuts, i dont get it, you KNOW theres a camera in your face, why not smile? i ALWAYS have to take another pic, making sure hes smiling in it..*sigh*
we decided since petsmart was open wed go and get some crickets for daniels trantuall ROZA...and craig saw that a tree, level high to my head had a birds nest in it..what are the chances? i mean it would be so easy for anyone to mess with the eggs, or bother the birds, its kinda weird seeing it there so close. and the next pic, has my finger right at the thing to show its at arms level for me to reach and touch

its close enough, i could take my iphone and take pics above it too see if there was anything in it. thankfully, there want, but it doesnt mean there wont be when spring comes along.

would be neat if they protected this and allowed some birds to raise some babies in it, so i could come by and see them go from eggs to birds. :)

when i got home, i checked my email, and saw laura (a freind of mine, from Facebook..im making her some dolls) had tagged me in a post, so i opened it up, and saw that another connection listed me as her winner for her  100oth LIKES on her page winner!
how awesomely cool was that?
i got to choose from a headband, a red and white heart, or mary jane booties, i icked the booties!
so, she and i have spoken and ill send her the shipping when craig gets paid, and ill have a gift.
i promise when i get them to make sure i post and talk allot about them, and her products. :)

gonna close this blog post out.
